8/09/22: Perpetual Motion Brick (incomplete)
When the Brick was first discovered by the Limans, it was not immediately apparent that it would be a world-changing object. So far as anyone could determine, it moved of its own volition 20cm in one direction, and then 20cm back in the opposite direction, with each cycle taking 1 second. It also appeared to be indestructible.
The Limans used it at first for metal working. It flattened most metals after just a few minutes, and saved everyone a great deal of time and sore arms.
The uses for the brick evolved over the years. Some bright young woman placed it on a platform attached to a lever, which when pressed would push water up into a water tower. This is now widely seen as the world’s first water pump.
