The Arbiter was a super empath, meaning he could feel the emotions of others as if they were his own.
The people of the village came to him to settle their disputes. He could always give them an answer of who was wronged more, or hurt more. They left his house satisfied, more or less.
On weekends, he lived in a hut by the swamp. No one came to bother him there. There was nothing but the emotions of swamp frogs to invade his thoughts. The frogs were simple creatures. He didn’t mind them.
